Turn your slides into notes that connect the ideas.
A slide deck is an outline, not the whole lesson. Turn PowerPoint slides into AI study notes, then add the examples and explanations you want to remember.
From your material to your next study session.
- 1
Choose a PowerPoint file
Start with a PPTX from one lecture or topic. Your file is kept in this browser while you set up your account.
- 2
Review your note settings
Complete onboarding and sign in. After the slides are processed, Pausly opens the AI note settings so you can choose a format and language.
- 3
Create and fill in the gaps
Generate the note, compare it with the original slides, and add what your teacher explained out loud. Creation starts only after your confirmation.
From short bullet points to a useful study outline.
Lecture slides often contain headings and fragments that made sense during class but are harder to interpret later. Use slide-to-note generation to organise the extracted text into a reviewable starting point. It cannot recover explanations that were never included in the deck.
For an economics lecture, separate a definition from the assumptions behind it and the example used in class. For a history deck, check that names and dates stay attached to the right event. Add your own explanation wherever a bullet point is too brief to stand on its own.
Prepare your PowerPoint before you upload.
Use a PPTX file up to 50 MB and 500 slides. Older PPT files are not accepted here; save a PPTX copy first. Google Slides users can download their presentation as a PowerPoint file. Upload only material you own or have permission to use.
Text-heavy decks work best. Image-only slides, charts, equations and animations may not carry enough extractable context for reliable notes. Keep those slides open while reviewing, and add the missing meaning yourself. If your lecture is a PDF instead, this picker will not accept it.
Questions before you start?
Which PowerPoint files can I upload?
This page accepts PPTX files up to 50 MB. The processing limit is 500 slides. Convert older PPT files to PPTX before uploading; password-protected or damaged files may fail to process.
Can I use a Google Slides presentation?
Download it from Google Slides as a Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) file, then choose that file here. A shared Google Slides URL is not a supported input on this page.
Do I need to choose the file again after sign-up?
No. It is stored temporarily in this browser and uploaded after sign-in. Stay in the same browser and do not clear site data. If storage is unavailable, this page shows an error before continuing.
Will the notes include everything the lecturer said?
No. The notes are based on text extracted from your file, not an unrecorded lecture. Add spoken examples and check visual material against the original presentation.
Do I need an account, and is generation unlimited?
You need a Pausly account. Generation uses your available credits and is subject to usage limits. Review the settings and your balance before creating notes; this page does not start generation automatically.
Can I trust every generated detail?
No. AI can omit context or make mistakes. Check names, numbers, definitions and conclusions against your original material. Use the notes as a starting point for studying, not as an answer key.
